How Does an Overrunning Alternator Pulley (OAP) Work?
The Overrunning Alternator Pulley transfers the torque of the crankshaft pulley to the alternator.
It reduces the slip of the serpentine belt and excessive tension fluctuations by overrunning,
to block the torsional vibration generated by the crankshaft pulley from the high rotational inertia of the alternator.
