Water pump

A water pump is a pump that operates so that coolant circulates between the water jacket passage in the engine and the radiator. As the water pump pulley rotates, the impeller fixed to the shaft rotates and circulates the coolant. Coolant cooled from the radiator through the thermostat leads into the centre of the impeller, and extruded outward by centrifugal force to go to the cylinder block or the cylinder head.
